l’oeuvre de Tom Deininger qui fait avec différents objets.
« The paintings below are made from a wide variety of sources. They are executed From random internet searches, found photos, film stills, media shots, and even other paintings sometimes they are just out my head or actual still life set ups. They are usually produced in one sitting but are sometimes modified or painted over several times. I am interested in how the images relate to one another and how they appear in various groupings. It is a way to digest much of what I see and think about and how images conjure up various associations. I am also interested in what memory and time does to an image and what details can be modified to change it’s context. Ultimately the project is about observing the word around us and painting it. The exercise helps me see the world very democratically. Instead of writing this could be considered a visual blog. More of my work is posted on my website. »
